Saalbach-Hinterglemm is a pretty, traditional village with typical shops, bars and discos and is a fantastic choice for your school ski trip. The extensive circuit of ski slopes on both sides of the Glemm valley are linked by an efficient ski lift system.

The Skiing

Saalbach and its neighbouring resorts of Hinterglemm and Leogang offer excellent skiing from early December until late April. With plenty of snow making facilities, wide tree lined slopes and an interconnecting lift system, they now offer over 250km of marked runs with a new gondola link to nearby Fieberbrunn. Known locally as the ‘Ski Circus’ these fantastic resorts provide an abundance of skiing for all levels and abilities.

Après-Ski

There is plenty of après ski in the area including ice skating and curling in Hinterglemm and the sports centre, swimming pool and ice rink in the nearby lakeside town of Zell Am See.

The Young Generation Buchegg is situated in the centre of the Ski Circus region. Well positioned on the piste of the Westgipfel lift, you’ll enjoy doorstep skiing from here. There’s easy access to the ski lifts and local amenities while accommodation facilities include a cinema, computer room, disco and games room. All hostel bedrooms have private facilities.

What They Say

The hotel location was fantastic, particularly for skiers of a reasonable ability, being able to ski from door to door. As the week went on more children were able to ski from the door. The ski instructors were very good.
