Ski trip to Passo Tonale

Passo Tonale is one of Italy’s highest ski resorts standing at over 1800m. It is a purpose built resort high above the tree line and boasts the spectacular Presena glacier which guarantees snow and allows skiing through the summer too. The village has a good choice of bars and shops and remains a favourite with school ski groups.

The Skiing

The resort is excellent for beginners with slopes on both sides of the valley enabling easy and quick progression. The north facing slopes cater predominantly for beginners and intermediates whilst the south facing slopes provide more challenging terrain for the better intermediate and advanced skiers.

There is a large choice of après ski available here including ice-skating, tubing, swimming and bowling as well as plenty of local shops and bars.

Where to stay

Hotel Piandineve

The 4 star Hotel Piandineve is located in a superb position in Passo Tonale, just a short walk from the bottom of the ski lifts and the meeting point for the ski school. With fabulous views of the surrounding mountains, you can also enjoy the restaurant, disco or a short stroll into town.

Hotel Negritella

The 3 star Hotel Negritella is within walking distance of the ski lift system. All rooms are en-suite with satellite TV. The hotel has a new wellness centre, or groups can relax in the TV lounge after a day enjoying the slopes and après-ski.
