Ski trip to Ski Juwel

The Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau with its 109km of wide groomed pistes is one of the largest ski areas in the Tyrol region. With its excellent range of slopes and challenging runs the ski area is a great school ski trip option for both beginners and experienced skiers.

The Skiing

This superb ski area offers a variety of skiing for all abilities. Oberau offers excellent slopes for the beginners, and the new gondola link to Alpbach from Auffach now provides an extensive ski area for the more adventurous skiers. There is a total of 109 kilometres of pistes and 45 lifts in one of the largest ski areas in the Austrian Tyrol.

Après-Ski

Oberau and Niederau and the neighbouring villages in the Wildschonau valley have shops, bars and restaurants but still maintain their traditional family ambience throughout the season. There is bowling in Niederau or bowling in nearby Worgl. There are swimming pools in some of the hotels.

Where to stay

Pension Schwaighof

The Pension Schwaighof with 70 beds offers basic but comfortable accommodation with private facilities in all the bedrooms. The pension is only a few minutes walk from the village of Mühltal. In favourable conditions, advanced groups can ski all the way back to the Schwaighof.

Hotel Angerhof

We also use the Jugendhotel Angerhof which is just a mile or so from the centre of Oberau and a short transfer to the slopes. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities. There is a games room, and also offers climbing, air hockey and table football.
