Why New York is the Ultimate Destination for Young Performers
When I was 16, I went on a performing arts trip to New York—and it changed everything. Being immersed in the energy of Broadway, taking part in real workshops with industry professionals, and seeing world-class productions up close and I knew that was what I wanted to do in the future. It opened my eyes to what was possible and helped me realise that I didn’t just want to study performance—I wanted to live it. That trip confirmed for me that I didn’t just want to study the arts—I wanted to pursue a life on stage. It shaped my ambitions, boosted my confidence, and gave me the motivation to chase my dream of becoming a dancer.
Now, I feel incredibly lucky to help organise these life-changing experiences for the next generation through Absolute Travel. We work closely with schools to create inspiring, carefully tailored itineraries that include Broadway workshops, backstage tours, live shows, and even unforgettable moments like stage dooring with cast members.
