Stromboli Volcano

Stromboli, one of the world’s most active volcanoes, offers an unforgettable experience for students. Vulcano

Vulcano Island, part of Italy’s Aeolian archipelago, offers students a fascinating mix of relaxation and exploration. Taormina

Taormina offers stunning views of the Mediterranean and Mount Etna. Your group can explore ancient ruins, like the Greek Theatre, stroll through medieval streets and Corso Umberto with its shops and historic buildings.

Alcantara Gorges

A must visit for Geography groups, you can experience a hike of the gorges, swimming and relaxing, explore the Alcantara River Park and learn about the volcanic activities that formed the gorges with informative exhibits and displays.

Sample Itinerary

Day 1

Flight to Sicily (Catania Airport).

Arrival and private coach transfer to the Hotel Milazzo with half-day stop in Giardini Naxos with time for a short orientation visit.

Transfer to the hotel, check-in, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2

Breakfast and walk to the Milazzo Harbour on time to catch the hydrofoil to Stromboli Island. Arrival and guided trekking excursion on Stromboli up to approx. 400 metres altitude. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Breakfast and walk to the Milazzo Harbour on time to catch the hydrofoil to Vulcano Island. Half-day guided trekking excursion on Vulcano.

Day 4

Full-day guided excursion to Mount Etna, including visit to the Silvestri Craters plus cable car and 4x4 Jeep excursion to higher altitude. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 5

Taormina & Alcantara Gorge. 2-hour guided walking tour of the town including the Greek Theatre. Continue to Alcantara Gorge Transfer to the airport to return flight home.

Hotel Milazzo - Milazzo area. This is a traditional family-run 4 star hotel in a great beach location. with triples and quad rooms for students and twins/ singles for teachers the hotel also has a restaurant which provides evening meals and packed lunches for our groups.

Hotel delle Palme - Letojanni area. A beach location which is also traditional and family run, again with triple and quad rooms for students and single and twins for staff, all ensuite. Evening meals are taken in the onsite restaurant and the hotel also benefits from a pool and garden.
