Barcelona is without doubt one of the most colourful, free-spirited and attractive of all European cities. It is a fantastic destination for educational study trips and boasts a wealth of amazing architecture, sculptures, paintings and even street art. Enjoy the ethereal Sagrada Familia, the hustling and bustling Ramblas and the magnificent Camp Nou. Barcelona is a popular destination for Business Studies groups with the SEAT Factory, Port of Barcelona, Torres Winery and Anis Del Mono Distillery among others exciting study visits.

SEAT car factory

Tour the SEAT factory premises at Martorell, visiting the press shop and the bodywork shop. Learn about the true value of their products, and explore part of the production process of a car and life inside the factory.

Barcelona Chamber of Commerce

Tour Casa Llotja de Mar, a building packed with history, where economics, culture and architecture combine in a single space. Housing the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce in the heart of the historic centre of Barcelona, it represents the city's economy and culture.

Barcelona Stock Exchange

Founded in 1915, a visit here will afford your group the chance to understand the technical and financial workings of this important institution via a discussion with a broker. You will also have the chance to visit the electronic trading centre.

Parliament of Catalonia

Take a fascinating tour around the Regional parliament and discover the history of the building and gain an understanding of how it works and the functions it carries out.

Bodegas Torres Winery

Enjoy an exclusive tour of the vineyard, a visit to the grape-receiving and winemaking area and a tour of the cellar. Finish with wine tasting accompanied by local produce.

Anis del Mono Distillery

A visit to the factory showcases the distillery where the anise is produced in the traditional method. Learn about the company history including promotional campaigns, equipment, the mythical bottle and the famous label.

Day 1

Morning departure from UK for flight to Barcelona. Arrival and transfer to your hostel accommodation and check in. Free time for possible visit to the iconic Sagrada Familia cathedral. Evening at leisure.

Day 2

Morning visit to the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce at Casa Llotja de Mar. A chance to grab some lunch in the Port area before making your way to the Borsa de Barcelona Stock Exchange. Enjoy some tapas and evening at leisure in the city.

Day 3

Morning transfer to Martorell for a tour of the SEAT car factory. Enjoy a morning visit to Parc Guell. Afternoon at leisure to explore Barcelona – Placa de Catalunya, the Ramblas or the Gothic Quarter. Freshen up before an early dinner and then maybe take a trip up to Montjuic to see the Magic Fountain display and enjoy views over the city.

Day 4

A possible final morning visit or last minute shopping before making your way back to the airport for your flight back to the UK.

Barcelona has an excellent range of accommodation, from central Youth centres such as the Generator, to traditional hotels in quieter locations, most on a bed and breakfast basis. There are always plenty of local restaurants at good value for money nearby. Upgrades are also available on request.
