AH&BC

Founded in 1892, the Amsterdamsche Hockey & Bandy Club (AH&BC) is the oldest hockey club in the Netherlands and based at the renowned Wagener Stadium. AH&BC combines an outstanding record at elite level with a thriving youth section, making it one of the country’s largest and most successful hockey clubs. The men & women teams combined have won a total of 44 national championships with the women’s team also adding the Euro Hockey League titles in 2022 & 2024 and the men in 2026.

The Hockey Package

Your hockey tour programme to AH&BC includes professional coaching sessions with the clubs coaches or players at the fantastic Amsterdam facility, friendly matches against local Dutch teams to put to practice yours skills learnt from the coaching sessions. Tickets to a home match can be added to see AH&BC in action in the Hoofdklasse league. Behind the scenes Ajax stadium tour can be added on or day at Duinrell theme park.

Excursions & Visits

An excursion into Amsterdam is recommended, and we can book a guided stadium tour of the impressive Johan Cruijff Arena if requested in advance. The Walibi or Duinrell theme park is a popular day out, or spend the day at the beach in Noordwijk.

Travel

Flight and coach packages are both available. The coach journey is approximately 4 hours from Calais, although crossings are also possible into Rotterdam, Amsterdam and the Hook of Holland from Hull, Newcastle and Harwich respectively. The short flight to Schiphol airport is well served from most regional airports.

Noordwijk aan zee

A popular beach resort on the Dutch coast and just 40 minutes from Amsterdam, Noordwijk is a great base for school and club hockey teams to tour to Holland. With dozens of top teams to play against in the region, you will be well placed for tournament and match arrangements with guest coaching with international players also available to add an extra dimension to your programme.

Amsterdam has much to offer, including museums and canals galore, we use a number of budget hotels and hostels in the heart of the city, ideal for school and club groups, with 2-8 sharing a room. Options include the Meininger hotel, Holiday Inn and Stayokay hostels.

Center Parcs resorts

There are several Center Parcs resorts in Holland which are an ideal base for a hockey tour, bested suited for clubs. Each has an indoor Aqua Mundo tropical pool and numerous other on site activities.

Cottage accommodations are typically available for between 2 - 12 persons depending on the resort.
