Our Absolute school sports festival is a superb combination of festival matches & professional coaching in one of Europe's most popular sports tour destinations. Admired for the quality of its youth development and sports facilities alike, Holland has long been one of our favourite school sports tour destinations. As well as a 2 day programme of festival sports here, you'll have the chance to tour the PSV Eindhoven stadium too. Destination Guide

Our Dutch school sports festival is based in the Limburg region of the Netherlands and just four hours on the coach from Calais. The region is a real sports paradise with fabulous football and hockey facilities in particular and plenty more besides. Our schools are based at the Limburgse Peel Center Parcs resort which has been welcoming our groups for many years. As well as a sense of the great outdoors, there are endless activities to keep you entertained from start to finish including free entry to the Aqua Mundo tropical pool.

The Sports Package

Football

Includes coaching clinics with professional staff at facilities in the region. Tournament matches are for boys (11v11) and girls (11v11) against other British schools and/or friendly games with local Dutch opposition.

Netball

Quality coaching and games with our experienced coaches, with the opportunity to play against other British schools (subject to the number and ages of other teams taking part).

Hockey

Coaching clinics are held at top facilities in the region. Tournament games are against other British schools and/or local Dutch opposition.

Rugby

Rugby coaching sessions and optional matches against Dutch club teams in the region.

Basketball

Basketball coaching clinics and optional matches against Dutch club teams in the region.

Dance

A selection of professional dance workshops covering a number of genres leading to a performance.

Excursions & Visits

There are a number of fantastic excursion possibilities within the region. A guided tour of the PSV stadium in Eindhoven is always a popular choice while you can see the 1st team train at De Herdgang, subject to scheduling at the time. There are theme parks both in Holland (De Efteling) and over the border in Germany (Phantasialand) which are both a great day out or you can enjoy the pool at Center Parcs if you prefer. Cultural and educational visits can also be organised on request. Evening activities can also be added to your package and we can make reservations for ten pin bowling at Center Parcs if you wish.

Monday

Travel down to Dover. Ferry or Eurotunnel crossing to Calais and onward journey to Holland. Check into your accommodation at Center Parcs. Free time at leisure and use of the Aqua Mundo tropical pool, subject to arrival time. Dinner.

Tuesday

Transfer to local SportsSchool venue for coaching session(s) and festival match(es) against other British schools. Option to enjoy the tropical pool on site at Center Parcs during your free time. Friendly match(es) during the evening against local clubs for those not playing earlier in the day.

Wednesday

Thursday

Transfer for excursion to theme park or stadium tour if you wish. Those booking a 4 day tour start your journey home.

Friday

Check out of accommodation. Depart for return journey to Calais and journey back to school.

Center Parcs

Our superb Center Parcs option provides comfortable cottage accommodation in a safe and tranquil environment. There is a sports hall on site for recreational activities on request. What's more you have daily access to the fabulous Aqua Mundo tropical swimming pool and slides. A variety of meal packages are available, so you can decide whether you'd like your breakfast, lunch and dinner included or choose a self-catering option, if you are happy to organise your own food instead.

Hotel

Although nearly all our groups choose to stay at Center Parcs, hotel accommodation options are also available should you prefer within an easy drive from our festival sports venues in the region. Please ask us for details and a tailor-made costing on request.
