Educational trips to Venice for school and college groups

Venice

A school or college trip to Venice takes you to the romantic capital of northern Italy's Veneto region. This amazing and historic city is built in a lagoon on more than 100 small islands in the Adriatic. Few cities have such a rich heritage in art and history. The famous Grand Canal snakes through its centre, lined with fabulous palaces and churches. Wonder at St Mark’s Square, the Basilica and the Rialto Bridge. A truly inspiring destination for your students on your next school trip.

Educational Visits

With so many varied and interesting educational and cultural possibilities, we will build a tailor-made school, college or sixth-form trip programme and itinerary to meet with your requirements and priorities. We can organise opportunities to develop language skills and to improve historical and artistic awareness.

It’s easy to immerse yourselves in the culture and history of the Veneto region. Here in Venice you can experience the picture-postcard sights of this incredible city. Take a boat trip along the Grand Canal - or even a private gondola – and see St Mark’s Square, the Basilica and the Rialto Bridge. Or enjoy the masterpieces in the Peggy Guggenheim Museum. See the Bridge of Sighs, Ca' d'Oro Palazzo Santa Sofia, Doge's Palace and Galleria dell’Accademia.

Other Excursions

Jesolo is a lively resort with a fantastic sandy beach just an hour or so from Venice. The busy strip along the seafront is lined with shops and bars. You’ll find plenty of places to buy some pizza too. The Aqualandia water park (high season only) is nearby and there is crazy golf and tennis available too. An evening out to enjoy some ten pin bowling is a 30 minute coach journey from the resort.

Visit the sights of Verona including the Roman Arena and the balcony made famous from Romeo and Juliet, or Scrovegni Chapel in Padova. What’s more, we can organise cookery classes, pasta making and wine tasting for a real taste of the local culture and cuisine.

Where to Stay

Venice and Lido di Jesolo

Most groups stay on the coast outside the city in Lido di Jesolo. We use a selection of typical Italian 2 and 3 star hotels, including the popular Hotel Da Bepi. The hotel is located in the centre of the resort, and is just 100m from the beach. Good local food is provided in the hotel’s adjacent pizzeria restaurant.
