The Cricket Package

Sri Lanka is a nation with a deep rooted passion for Cricket, which provides the very best touring experience for school and club teams.

Touring teams have the chance to play competitive fixtures against local schools and academies known for producing international talent. From our experience a 9 night tour with 3 nights spent in each location: Colombo, Kandy & Galle is the best way to see and experience all that Sri Lanka has to offer.

The climate dictates that the best time to tour is between October and April.

Excursions & Visits

Experiences not to be missed whilst touring Sri Lanka include Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage and the Temple of the Tooth, enriches the tour with cultural insight, educational value, and unforgettable team experiences beyond the cricket field. City Tours of Kandy and Colombo also allow the group to explore the culture and history that Sri Lanka is steeped with.

Sample Itinerary

Day 1

Travel to the airport for overnight flight. Flight options to fly indirect (via Dubai or Abu Dhabi will reduce the overall cost considerably)

Day 2

Arrive and travel to Kandy to check into Hotel. Free time and Evening dinner at the Hotel.

Day 3

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to training ground for 2 hour self led training/nets session. City Tour of Kandy and visit to the Temple of Tooth. Evening Kandyan Show and Dinner

Day 4

Breakfast at hotel.  Transfer to 1st 40 over fixture (lunch included)

Transfer back to the Hotel, some free time before Evening dinner at Hotel.

Day 5

Breakfast at Hotel, before check out. Transfer to Colombo, on route stopping at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to observe daily feeding and river bathing of orphaned and injured elephants. Lunch at Pinnawalla before continuing onto Colombo, check into Hotel.

Day 6

Breakfast at hotel.  Transfer to 2nd 40 over fixture (lunch included)

Transfer back to the Hotel, some free time before Evening dinner at Hotel.

Day 7

Breakfast at hotel.  Transfer to 3rd 40 over fixture (lunch included)

Transfer back to the Hotel, some free time before Evening dinner at Hotel.

Day 8

Breakfast at hotel before check out. Colombo City Tour before heading South to Hikkaduwa. Check into Hotel and free time on the beach before Evening dinner at Hotel.

Day 9

Breakfast at hotel.  Transfer to 4th T20 fixture (lunch included)

Transfer back to the Hotel, some free time before Evening dinner at Hotel.

Day 10

Breakfast at hotel.  Explore Galle Fort and visit the Foundation of Goodness.

Transfer back to the Hotel, some free time before Evening dinner at Hotel.

Day 11

Breakfast at hotel before check out. Transfer to airport for flight back to the UK

Where to stay

Sri Lanka accommodation

You'll stay in comfortable hotel accommodation throughout your tour such as the 4-star Thilanka in Kandy and Pegasus Reef in Colombo. Buffet breakfast and dinners are included at the hotel with access to the outdoor swimming pool.

Travel

There is only one option to fly direct to Sri Lanka, which is why indirect flights via Dubai or Abu Dhabi are most popular and can reduce the overall cost of the tour. Airport, match and between location transfers are included throughout.
